Is Copeland BC already planning for a Geological Disposal Facility?

While the “national” geological screening process is still apparently ongoing and we have been assured on numerous occasions that nowhere has been ruled in or out, it is somewhat remarkable that the following contract has recently been published by Copeland Borough Council.

It is a paragraph well down in the “job description” that could well give cause for concern:

“Experience of working with the National and local policies around radioactive waste management and especially the issues surrounding the potential  development of a national repository for high level radioactive wastes through a Geological Disposal Facility”
